[JapanUrbanLegend] Ryomen Sukuna
During the demolition of an old temple in Iwate Prefecture, a wooden box about 2 meters in size was discovered. The box had a paper attached to it with characters resembling Sanskrit and the words, "In the year ?? of the Taisho era, in July, with a spell, Ryomen Sukuna was sealed in ???." The temple's head priest warned not to open the box, but it was too late as two Chinese student part-timers had already opened it. Inside the box was a grotesque mummy with two heads and four arms. The part-timers were shocked and hospitalized, and the priest retrieved the box, warning them that they wouldn't live long.
One of the part-timers who opened the box died suddenly of a heart attack, and the other was sent to a mental hospital. Three workers at the demolition site suffered from high fever, and one construction worker was injured.
It was later revealed that during the Taisho era, the leader of a cult named Mononobe Tengoku bought deformed children for a high price and performed evil rituals. Among them, conjoined twins were preserved and named 'Ryomen Sukuna,' becoming the cult's idol. Tengoku used 'Ryomen Sukuna' to curse the entire nation, and several disasters during the Taisho era occurred in regions where 'Ryomen Sukuna' had been moved. Tengoku committed suicide in front of 'Ryomen Sukuna' just before the Great Kanto Earthquake, leaving a will saying, "Japan shall perish." The whereabouts of 'Ryomen Sukuna' after that remain unknown.
