Miami Zombie Attack

Miami Zombie Attack

On May 27, 2012, a horrific incident unfolded on a highway entrance in Miami, Florida, resembling a scene from a novel. That day, a man began a brutal attack indiscriminately on the sidewalk next to the highway. His eyes were filled with madness and confusion, and his mouth was wide open, resembling a beast as he targeted the victim's face.

The victim, named Ronald Poppo, was a homeless man who became the target of the man's savage assault in an instant. The attacker bit into his flesh, ignoring the horror and screams of passing pedestrians, continuing his assault. When the Miami police arrived, the assailant, like a creature not of this world, growled and refused to stop. Ultimately, the police had to fire their weapons to subdue him, a moment that felt like the climax of a movie.

The attacker was identified as Rudy Eugene, and his actions shocked and terrified the public. Ronald, the victim, lost 75% of his facial skin and his nose, with his left eye being gouged out by the assailant and his right eye rendered irreparably damaged. His face bore the brutal scars of the attack, a sight too horrific to imagine. After the incident, Ronald underwent several surgeries to reconstruct his face, but his appearance, devoid of both eyes, still brought deep sorrow to those who saw him.

When the autopsy results were released, people were met with another shock. No human flesh was found in the attacker's stomach, and the pills discovered in his belly did not provide evidence of drug addiction. The attacker's family claimed he was a warm neighbor, but their words were insufficient to overshadow the brutality of the incident.

Following this, a series of brutal murders and cannibalistic acts occurred, leading people to search for the term "zombie apocalypse." Society was filled with anxiety, and the U.S. government announced that the incident was caused by the influence of a new hallucinogenic drug called "bath salts." Like a story from a dream rather than reality, this incident was deeply etched into people's memories.
